Thank you for always being there for me. All the soccer weekends, shopping trips, break downs, break ups, movie nights, you were always there. As a kid you were my biggest supporter and now I am on my own. Here I am writing this letter to you now, 20 years old and in college saying thank you. As I am in hiding mode from a zombie apocalypse that is occurring here on campus at UMW. I am so scared.
I know you will worry but please don’t, because I have this under control (hopefully). I have a survival kit, all the random things stuffed in my book bag, and I just ordered zombie hot sauce. I have strategized how to make everything last with the help of my agenda.
I don’t know what is going to happen, but I know you don’t have to worry. And I know you will regardless. But I am strong, and smart and I will figure this out.
And I have you to thank for that. I thank you for always believing in me. I want you to believe that I can survive this apocalypse. Because of you and how you raised my siblings and I, we have always finished strong and came out on the top. You taught me all I need to know to survive, how to be conservative, and especially when to be brave. That time is now.
And I want you to believe that if I don’t survive, and zombies eat me alive, that I will be the best zombie that ever existed.
With that being said, stay home and don’t go anywhere.
I love you.
